How do I distinguish between different switches configured in a room?

  • The easiest way is to assign unique names to different devices in a room. Another way is to check their color coding. In any given room, each device is assigned a unique color code. For example, every switch has a small colored dot on the bottom left corner of its icon that indicates which device it belongs to. To see the color coding of the new switch, go to Settings > Devices. Click on the assigned room. The colored vertical line next to the device name indicates its color coding.

Can I use an existing device in another home?

    1. Make sure you are in the right home, then go to Settings > Devices > (Select Device) > Delete Device.
    2. Go to Settings > Homes > (Select new home for the device) > Enter Home.
    3. Go to Settings > Devices > + > Add the deleted device here.

Can my device be configured to have more than 1 WiFi network?

  • It depends on the device type. Portable devices like IR_BLASTER and SMART Travel Adapter can save up to 4 Wi-Fi passwords to connect based on availability and signal strength. To add more than one WiFi network to these devices, go to Settings > Devices > (Select Device) > Configure Device. Just add your new WiFi in the configuration screen. However, SMART Switch and SMART 16A Plug can save only 1 Wi-Fi password.
